Chateau Violet-Lamothe — белоеdessert wine crafted from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle grapes grown in the renowned Southern appellations known for their premium sweet wines. The vines are over 60 years old, contributing to the wine's rich complexity. This wine showcases vibrant acidity and grassy notes characteristic of Sauvignon Blanc, combined with a well-structured body and hints of bee wax and apricot from Semillon. The unique skin of the Semillon grapes interacts positively with noble rot, enhancing the flavor profile. Grapes are carefully hand-picked and sorted to ensure only those affected by Botrytis cinerea are used, a process that can take up to 8 weeks. After three gentle extractions, the juice ferments and ages in oak barrels before bottling. The resulting wine boasts a lush texture with aromas of candied lemon, marmalade, apricot, and gooseberry, offering excellent aging potential as it develops greater depth over time.
